   San Ignacio (Jesuitical riuns)

 
"Visita Ruinas San Ignacio Miní" (San Ignacio Ruins Miní Visit), declared historical national monument and cultural heritage of the humanity by the "UNESCO" (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural organization). San Ignacio Miní was founded by the missionaries of the "Compañía de Jesus" (Society of Jesus). Due to the maintenance work, it is still possible to go over the traced urban, where the central square, the church, the housings, the library and the chapel can be recognized.

San Ignacio Ruins

An admission ticket is paid to enter to the ruins, and another one is also paid for a show of lights and sounds when dusk takes place: the ruins light up and an audio makes the tourist feel part of the life, the work and the indian evangelization in the mission.

Visit to the house where the writer Horacio Quiroga lived, (nowadays settled down as a museum). 

His personal things are also exhibited there.
