Location: Is located upon the Paraná River, on the area of the ports of Caraguatay and Montecarlo, department of  Montecarlo.

Surface: Its surface is 52 Has.

Island of the “High Paraná” covered, still, by its sylvan vegetation. It presents a great diversity of species of flora and fauna, specially birds.

Caraguatay Island

These species added to the ones that the island natural possessed. Rich in epiphytes for its weather conditions, created by the protective mist of the river during the cold winters. In mammals is possible find: the Coatí and the Monkey Caí.
