La Misionera Ecoturismo of the locality of Caraguatay,
Province of Misiones, is one of the rural establishments of Argentina
specialised in
birdwatching. The La Misionera is situated in the middle of the
biological diversity of the Paranaense Subtropical Rainforest, this
ecological paradise has more of 550 species of birds, 71 species of
mammals, a lot of reptiles and amphibians, and innumerable invertebrates,
as the insects, some of them not identified. In the area, besides its rich birds and variety fauna we can enjoy a natural beautiful view: the Paraná River with its beaches, the Caraguatay Island (Provincial Park Provincial) and many waterfalls and leaps.
Over a total of 550 species of birds that is possible find in the Paranaense Rainforest, in the park and paths of the La Misionera Ecoturismo, around the house, have been identified 120 species. The following one is a list of these species: |

Inside the state there are birdwatching paths, and for the comfort of our guests has been built ecological watch-towers - entirely made with rainforest's materials- to observe and admire all the rainforest's species. |

1st. Day: Arrival at the La Misionera and lodging. Lunch and first departure on evening, by the park and places near the house.
4th. Day: Breakfast and departure to the last birdwatching by the park and ecological paths. End of the birdwatching and return. |
